Calculating when a negative entry will be removed from your credit report

Posted on 16, 2009 – 3: 24 pm | by Ryan |

I have two negative accounts for my credit report have been sitting there for a few years ago. In addition to these, my credit report has only the accounts that are on time. Recently I started really to try to jump up to my credit score and are wondering if this was even worth putting my time and money fixing, or will they slide off my account always have finally rolled when precisely rule 7 year. First my account first reported in March 2002 and was the last for 2007.In my second account was first reported in April 2005 and final report in May 2005. starting 7 years the toll of the date of the first or last?

Hello [name removed]-
Both accounts are old enough and I will not spend a lot of time trying to be removed. It is so old that the impact on your credit is quite small.I know that feel like an itch that you really want to zero, but they will be gone in no time.As regards rule 7 year: in most cases all has to do with what is actually reported is – that, looking at 7 years for each negative entry; therefore, if the first negative entry mentioned in March 2002, looking at 7 years old to sign up for monthly, a negative entry, the entry will be kept for 7 years; in other words, don't look at the total account when trying to understand where the account is removed – look at each individual negative entry associated with this account and figure that this entry will be kept for 7 years.

Hope this helps,
-Ryan
